Remote Viewing as an Awareness Practice

Abstract:

This presentation will explore the possibilities of personal transformation that exist in a remote viewing practice. We will explore the changes of belief and self-image that occur during remote viewing training and application, with an emphasis on the significance of the relationship with the unconscious for integration of shadow aspects of the personality.

Remote viewing in essence is about information gathering. In this capacity it isn’t any different than normal physical means of investigation. It is a tool that can be used by just about anybody for just about any purpose. The only limits to what we can do with remote veiwing seem to be set by the beliefs we have about it. Being such a simple tool, one might not think remote viewing would have any inherent tendency or capacity to transform consciousness. But it does. What makes this tool different is consciousness. It takes our own consciousness to do remote viewing. If we engage in a serious practice of remote viewing our consciousness will change.

The more time we spend remote viewing, the more we become aware of ourselves, the workings of our minds and our internal beliefs. Beliefs about intuition must be addressed, as well as beliefs and understandings about reality, consciousness, right and wrong, and even who we are at a core level. The deeper beliefs and attitudes we have about ourselves and our reality affect what we perceive and our ability to view it. As we increase self-awareness we become better viewers.

RV techniques rely on establishing a connection to the unconscious. This connection is perhaps the most significant aspect of remote viewing in terms of personal transformation. Cultivating a relationship with our own unconscious allows us to integrate shadow aspects of our personality. When noise occurs in an RV session, it takes us away from our conscious focus. Noise is a manifestation of unconscious intentions and reveals shadow parts of ourselves. The RV process allows us to work with our shadow parts and bring them into consciousness. Owning our shadow makes us more congruent in all our activities, we become better viewers and more rounded people.
